a very long story.

HI to anyone who has yet to give up on reading my blog....
i know it has been centuries since my last update....
i was just lazy.. and then i was busy with.... stuff....
anyway i will blog about aussie... maybe.. erh... probably... if i feel like it.. lol

i've recently finished my two weeks placement at a community pharmacy....
and being a person blessed with such 'good' fortune... i went there when they were moving...
'apparently' they didn't know about it either.. so they decided to take in 2 interns.. how convenient eh?

the things i got from my 2 weeks...

a bruise from making gondola shelves for an entire day....

i also learnt how to pack....

really well....

because that was our major activity....

practically every single freaking day....

u have absolutely NO CLUE how much stock/stuff a small pharmacy can have....

it was neverending!!

u-wen... my dear classmate who happened to suffer the same unfortunate fate as I...

we just HAD to take pics with the boxes we spent so much time packing...

okay i dont REALLY intend to sound like an ungrateful bitch.. im sure some of you will say that i must have learnt something right? well... talk to me and I'll gladly share my story ^^
and some stuff happened that only me and uwen can understand...
oh wait... i did say some stuff to whoever who asked how was my placement haha =x

i swear the last two days i can feel my lunch coming back up when i so much as looked at the boxes there..
anyway.... glad those days are over!

i love this woman and i will miss her when she starts working and i start being... busyyy

i've gotta say...
for a family who is extremely dependant on the internet... we have absolutely the worst luck with our comp/modem/cable/connection in general....

i dont think we've ever survived 6 months without our net going bonkers on us for more than once...

recap:
beginning of may: net suddenly decided to be funky and have connection on and off. then it got worse and we didnt have connection for a week or so... i took it as a sign from god that i should be focusing on studying for my finals instead of fussing over the loss of internet. too bad god forgot theres a thing called TELEVISION. Dad came back from his overseas trip and called and DEMANDED streamyx to fix our problem(remember what i said about our family being dependant on the net?)
turns out: there was this complication with the cable and what not...

end of may: surprise surprise.. net decided to act up again... after so many many years i've learnt to just go with the flow~ ie: moan about it but wait until my dad settles the problem. Dad called and again threatened to stop subscribing to streamyx..
turns out.. our computer's network card went KAPUT. Dad couldnt bear the wait so we decided we could live with just using laptops at home via wireless.. LOL... note: still don't see any purchase of new network card...

early june: came home after staying over at a friends place to find the modem with only one light... DUN DUN DUN... and since the TAN family leaves the modem on 24/7.. it doesnt take a genius to conclude that my modem was FRIED... curse the neverending rain these few days... rain=jams=stupid astro=power trips=me no like
Dad came home from overseas and immediately went out to buy a new modem... again, i have to emphasize that it is very difficult for this family to function without the internet...

SO HERE I AM WITH INTERNET ONCE AGAIN!!!
MUAHHAHAHHAHA

yes i am easily pleased... having the internet makes me HAPPY
yes i have no life... i can prove to you how no life i can get by listing what i do during the holidays..

surf the net.. watch tv... go out with friends... watch movie with friends... watch movie alone at home... surf the net... kacau ppl online... go for mini trips which i really feel to lazy to blog about... frequent the malls... went for the 16hour relay for life that i might or might not blog about... stay over at friend's house... go out with family... make stuff to eat when bored at home... did henna.... paint nails and repaint them... play online games... go on shopping trips which burned a big hole in my pocket.... meet friend for lunch/yumcha... kacau/attempted to kacau friends at their house... have phone calls 'for fun'.... read magazines/storybooks.... frequent pasar malams....screwing up my body clock by sleeping and waking up at odd hours... listing out what i have done during the holidays in my blog....

yea i have no life but i rather have no life than be studying for exams!! so there!

i'm running out of friends to kacau already... the friends that i can call out/disturb are always the same... because im antisocial and all... and because nobody wants to come back during june to teman poor ole me... and next summer it'll be even lonelier ill be so bored i might even contemplate poking my eyes out...

dont ask me why that thought entered my mind.. i have no idea...

well... there HAVE been people who say i can get scary when im bored... its as if my brain gets even more short circuit-ed

i can see that sales are popping up in stores everywhere like mushrooms... i might really need a job if i continue my 'its worth it so i just HAVE to buy it' because lets face it... during sales A LOT of stuff are worth it... and i should consider taking a friend who actually persuades me to NOT buy stuff... but then again.. whats the fun in that? haha

okay this was supposed to be a short post before i abandon my blog for awhile... because im gonna go visit my sister!! wee!
i think im ALMOST done packing....
packing is so blahhhh....
i didnt even realise i was leaving this week until my friends reminded me... haha

sorry this post is boring and pointless which is actually pretty typical of me... but im really LAZY to upload any pictures... jacq actually posted some pictures from vietnam which were taken centuries ago... i think ill be too lazy to blog about vietnam because it would mean i have to steal pictures which means ill have to log in to facebook which im too lazy to do....

i know i know.. its been ages right? i bet some of you have given up on me.. hehe
i still find it weird when my friends mention blogs and ill say that mine's dead if you havent noticed and they'll just reply with: I KNOW
do you guys really not care for my blogging that much? haha

for those who don't know...
i have been on holiday since my paper on the 7th ended...
and ill be BOOK/REPORT/STUDY-FREE till around mid-september
(unless i failed then ill have to resit T___T)

yes i have a 4 month holiday...
and no you shouldnt be bothered about it...
unless you're my mum who is very disturbed by the thought of her lazy bum daughter wasting her holidays away like she usually does..

and lazy bum daughter has just came back from a short trip to malacca-tampin which she might or might not blog about...

lazy bum daughter also managed to make sushi rolls TWICE in a week... ON HER OWN... because her sister is obviously not flying back all the way from australia to make her some...

so after making them.. i can tell you that making sushi rolls is a relatively easy thing to do...
but mixing the rice+seasoning can be a bitch when u have a lot of rice...

oh and be prepared to get your hands messy! (at the end of the day, it was as though i dipped my hands in a bottle of glue)

just had the sudden urge to blog...

a couple of days(or was it a week?) ago i received an email that had been circulating around all ex-djians...

andrew yap, djian class of '05 was in icu

at first i didnt even know who was the guy... its kinda hard to know EVERYBODY in the school alright? a lot of people didnt know me either!

after talking to mic and jac i kinda found out who he was...

then i got the news this afternoon that he passed on this morning...

it just got me thinking...

life is just really unpredictable isnt it?
anything can happen to anyone anytime anywhere...

he's 20 this year... just like me and a lot of my friends... and just like that... he's gone...

i heard that a number of his friends from overseas came back for support...
they prayed and hoped for the best...

i cant help but wonder... how many of my friends would actually do that?

i cant help but wonder... how are they feeling now?

god forbid.. if anything happens to my family or friends.. i'll be a total mess right now...

just imagine someone who is a part of you being taken away abruptly...
scary isnt it?
just shows that you should never take things for granted...

dont put off anything and say 'ill do it next time' 'i tell him/her next time'...
because there might not be a NEXT TIME
do something...
before its too late... before you regret...

i may not know him personally... but i still feel something... i can imagine the pain...
my deepest condolences to his family and friends....
he's in a better place now...

you will be missed...

yes lynn i do know for a fact that cny is very much over....
but i dont feel like blogging these days....
life is somewhat busy....

and i hate reports with undeniable PASSION
it creates unwanted stress ya know?
i dont like the feeling of having to finish something... and i have to keep reminding myself to finish it because.. well...
im a last minute person....

and i think im having mood-swings sometimes...
its just....
certain things just REALLY gets on my nerve...
but just let me finish venting and ill be a-okay.....

oh and i feel that im a bit more distant to my old friends lately...

i havent seen pao for like what? a month plus? that is REALLY LONG for our standards

they won the band category

i preferred her second song... first song she sang better in rehearsal... probably nerves

so the results was....

3+1 won for band

christine chew ee teen won second place for solo

but she should have won 1st...

too bad she didnt have super duper rich ~~black~~friends who are willing to spend hundreds on one person

seriously the person who won was the one who couldnt sing the most... WELL money means power right?! well everybody showed power by leaving the thing once they announced the winner... so there! you may win.. but you dont get the glory..

Chinese New Year is about....

having a lot of RED stuff around....

redid it cause i didnt fancy the previous colour....

i love and hate cny all at the same time
i hate:
- the cleaning up and making sure your house is tidy and presentable
- the serving people and dealing with guests
- the boring adult conversations and major stonage
- the waste of time listening or pretending to be listening to adult conversations
- the amount of weight u can gain by eating to kill boredom

i love:
- the part where we receive ang paos
- the reason to buy new clothes and wear them
- the good food
- the excuse to eat and eat and eat
- the......

damn i should have just stop at ang paos... its easier that way

lets face it.. everybody could do with a little bit more money!
